Kathy Sales
Founder
Sales, Leadership & Business Coach
Kathy’s abilities for helping clients impact sales results come from over 22 years of mastering consultative sales as an individual contributor, team leader, and national sales SVP and over 14 years as a successful consultant and coach. She has worked with F500 companies like IBM, Siemens, RR Donnelly, EMC, and smaller, more entrepreneurial services companies.
Her forte in her sales and sales leadership career was gaining a singular depth of understanding of each client’s career and project goals and associated challenges, then matching those with executable solutions in the technology (software) sector and professional services/consulting engagements. She found her love of coaching by teaching her regional and national sales teams to do the same. She graduated from Colgate University (BA), and her master’s work (MBP) was completed through the unique approach to creating uncommon value and understanding why business leaders make the decisions they do, offered by The Aji Network.
Kathy’s coaching work with her clients is about resolving their blind spots and amplifying their capacity to produce exceptional results in the areas of client/partner relationships, revenue production, sales leadership, executive leadership, and personal growth. She combines real life, in the trenches experience and ongoing education to help clients develop new abilities to maximize contribution, achievement, and income.
Insightful and Intuitive
Kathy has been influential in every area of creating the businesswoman that I am today. Since working with her, I have been successfully promoted to four different roles. Kathy coached me on effectively promoting my company in all settings, from making cold calls to in-person events and everything in between. I also learned the art of communication as it relates to managing professional connections. She helped me realize the significance of efficiently managing both up and down. Before working with Kathy, I had difficulty recognizing my strengths and weaknesses. After working with her, I have a better understanding of myself and specific areas where I have an opportunity to grow. I have learned how important it is to consider all perspectives in professional and personal settings. Kathy is insightful and intuitive and encourages growth with grace and respect. She is, without a doubt, a valuable asset to anyone seeking to take their career to the next level.

What is a Lanthorn?
Beautifully crafted leather products.
Clients become so happy with their results that they often want to know how to teach others what they have learned. They feel inspired and want to share how to be more effective and happier in their work and lives. They ask for guidance about how to get results like this into the hands of others in their business and lives.
The response is always this: it does not work that way. They should instead be an example, a beacon, and they will be asked how they learned to do what they are doing by those called to make similar changes. We tell them, “be the lighthouse.” Show the way. It has become a known refrain with our clients.
The top of a lighthouse, the part from which the light emanates, is called the lantern today. The original old English term for it was the lanthorn.
